The Chicago Fire announced Thursday that forward Juan Luis Anangono has been transferred to Liga MX side Universidad de Guadalajara. Per MLS and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Anangono joined the Fire as a Designated Player on July 23, 2013 from Argentinos Juniors of the Argentine Primera Division. The Ibarra, Ecuador product made his Fire debut in a 2-1 win over the Montreal Impact on Aug. 10, 2013. In 28 appearances for the Men in Red, Anangono scored four goals and added one assist.
The 25-year-old spent the second half of 2014 on loan to LDU Quito of the Ecuadorian Serie A.
