Beauty and the Beast
If you watched the College Cup, you probably wondered about the quality of soccer being played and the bus Virginia parked in front of their own goal. If you didn't watch, you probably heard all about it on Twitter. So what's more important? Winning ugly or at least trying to play? Meanwhile, another trophy was lifted in Liga MX, Frank Lampard's NYCFC fate got murkier, Steven Gerrard was linked with the Red Bulls and Brek Shea seems to be on his way to Orlando. Oh, and what do we make of this?
The Fire aren't just being linked with Designated Players, they're signing them. Kennedy Igboananike is already in the bag, and there might be a Ghanaian striker on the way as well. No matter how you twist it, Frank Yallop is making moves. He gives the guys the lowdown on everything going down in the Windy City, plus elaborates on Harry Shipp's future.
In the mailbag, Simon keeps making excuses about the ScoreBorg, the guys wonder which MLSers would make the best managers, the Revs empty forward stable is addressed and David hints at a life-changing holiday season.
