AMSTERDAM – Alejandro Bedoya and Nantes reached the quarterfinals of France's Coupe de la Ligue with a 4-2 extra-time victory over visiting Metz on Tuesday night.
The US attacker caused plenty of havoc over the full 120 minutes from the Canaries' No. 10 position. Bedoya narrowly missed the target with shots near the end of each regulation half and then fired a drive off the post with his side up one in overtime.
The next round of the tournament will be drawn following Wednesday night's matches, with the resulting ties set to begin on Jan. 13.
