Report: USMNT add home game against Brazil to loaded 2015 schedule

The US national team has apparently added yet another world power to an already rough 2015 schedule: Brazil.

SI.com reported on Thursday that the US will host the five-time world champions on the second FIFA date in September, the first meeting between the two teams since Brazil crushed the Americans 4-1 in May 2012 in Landover, Maryland.

The US are 1-16-0 all-time against Brazil, with the only win coming during the 1998 Gold Cup.

Brazil are currently ranked No. 6 in the world after finishing fourth in the World Cup on home soil this summer. They are unbeaten in the past four games since the World Cup, including a 2-0 win over Argentina in October.

U.S. Soccer released a seven-game schedule for the USMNT earlier this week that will see them play five teams ranked inside the top 20 before the CONCACAF Gold Cup in July. That list includes road matches against Germany, the Netherlands and Chile, and a home match against CONCACAF rival Mexico in April.
