Kaka loan spell at Sao Paulo officially comes to an end -- Next stop? Orlando City

The next time Brazilian superstar Kaka will be on a practice field, it'll be in Orlando City colors.

On Saturday, the Orlando City Designated Player participated in his final practice with Brazilian side Sao Paulo and said his goodbyes to the supporters in attendance as his loan deal finally came to an end.

Kaka won't be playing in Sao Paulo's final match of the Brasileirao season against Sport on Sunday, closing his loan spell with 25 appearances and three goals in league and Copa Sudamericana matches. He played his final game at the club's famed Morumbi Stadium last weekend.

More importantly, the attacking midfielder helped Sao Paulo finish in second place in the Brasileirao, clinching an automatic berth into the group stages of the 2015 Copa Libertadores.

"Unfortunately we lost my last practice scrimmage, but we won for most of the season," Kaka joked with media at the at the Centro de Treinamento da Barra Funda. "It was a different training session. In fact, the whole week has been different, because it has that feeling of being the last training session, the last scrimmage and I already played the last game. So all this made Saturday a special day full of emotions."

Kaka got his start with Sao Paulo in February 2001 before moving to Europe, where he enjoyed a stellar career and became a global soccer icon. The 32-year-old signed with Orlando City on July 1 and spent the next five months on loan at Sao Paulo in preparation for Orlando City's inaugural 2015 expansion season.

According to Orlando City, Kaka will take some time to vacation and be with his family before joining OCSC full time in January.
