Report: San Jose Earthquakes loanee Yannick Djalo headed to Russia or Turkey?

Yannick Djalo of the San Jose Earthquakes

Yannick Djalo showed some tantalizing glimpses of quality with the San Jose Earthquakes in 2014, but could his days in MLS possibly be over?

A report out of Portugal on Wednesday claims the winger, on loan to the Quakes this season from Portuguese powerhouse Benfica, could be on the move once again.

O Jogo reported that Djalo could be headed to Russia or Turkey for his next stop, though no specific club is listed in the article.

Djalo, 28, made 18 league appearances with the Quakes, scoring three goals and adding two assists. Though the one-time Portuguese international had several strong performances in MLS, his persistent injury problems led to then-San Jose coach Mark Watson to admit in September the team was frustrated with the loanee's ability to stay healthy.
