New England Revolution are first to book tickets to MLS Cup final, will face Sounders or Galaxy

Jermaine Jones, Jay Heaps and Lee Nguyen celebrate the Eastern Conference Championship title

We're halfway to finding out which two clubs will meet in the MLS Cup final next weekend, as the New England Revolution booked their place with a 4-3 aggregate win over the New York Red Bulls after a wild 2-2 draw at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.

The Revolution will return to the title game for the fifth time in club history, though they have yet to bring home the trophy, having lost the final in 2002, 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Standing in their way this time around will be the winner of the Western Conference Championship between the Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy.

The Galaxy currently lead that series 1-0 on aggregate, with the decisive second leg set for Sunday night at Seattle's CenturyLink Field. The game kicks off at 9:20 pm ET. (Watch on ESPN in the US; RDS2, TSN.ca and MLSsoccer.com in Canada).

No matter who takes the series in the West, the Revs know they will be hitting the road for the title game. Both Seattle and LA finished with more points than New England in the regular season, meaning the winner of that series will host the MLS Cup final on Sunday, Dec. 7.

The final will kick off at 3 pm ET and can be seen on ESPN and UniMas in the United States, and on TSN and RDS in Canada.
