Armchair Analyst: Tactical preview -- New England Revolution vs. New York Red Bulls, Eastern Conference Championship Leg 2

The Red Bulls had a lousy Sunday. They played well (bordering on great at times), executed their gameplan, generated a bunch of chances... and then couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with most of them.


Then Bradley Wright-Phillips got a yellow card which will see him suspended for this one. Then Eric Alexander came off. Then the RBNY midfield shape went to pot, and then New England capitalized. It went 2-1 to the visitors, a hammer-blow for a New York team that had every reason to feel like they should have been heading into this Leg 2 of the Eastern Conference Championship with a lead.



Given New England's form -- they're 12-1-1 in their last 14 across all competitions -- some people are asking if this one's done. So Red Bulls fans are getting feisty and all eye-rolly:
