AMSTERDAM – Terrence Boyd opened his 2.Bundesliga account on Sunday, bagging the decisive double as RB Leipzig humbled guests St. Pauli 4-1.

The US forward nodded home a Diego Demme ball on the half-hour mark and eight minutes out of intermission, he capitalized on a defensive fumble to blast his second of the afternoon for his side's third.

Boyd would depart with 10 minutes to play leaving his teammates to close out the victory. The Leipzig crew remained unbeaten in 10 overall home games this term while climbing a rung to fifth place in the league table.

Around the league, Alfredo Morales and table-toppers Ingolstadt saw their penthouse cushion trimmed to three points after falling to their first loss of the season, 2-1 at FC Nürnberg.

The midfielder nearly sliced into the hosts' quick two-goal lead with a drive from distance on 28 minutes, only to watch the Nürnberg netminder paw it away safely. Shortly thereafter, Morales would pick a yellow card that will see him suspended for their next league match.

Next door in the Eredivisie, Rubio Rubin worked the final half hour behind the FC Utrecht striker in a 3-1 home loss to Cambuur.

The youngster entered play with the game tied, but the visitors hit twice in the last nine minutes to steal the points. Eleventh-place Utrecht have now dropped three of their last four at home.

Finally, in France's Ligue 1, Alejandro Bedoya came on for the last five minutes of a 0-0 home draw against Saint-Étienne. In stretching their league unbeaten run to nine games, the Canaries held firm in fifth place.
