Check out the top 10 assists in Landon Donovan's USMNT career | SIDELINE

If you somehow missed it, Landon Donovan became the MLS assists king this past Saturday with No. 136 in the LA Galaxy’s 3-0 win over Toronto FC.

Along with his US national team record 58 assists heading into his final international game Friday against Ecuador (7 pm ET; ESPN), that’s 194 career helpers in his legendary career.

What will LD be remembered more for with the USMNT?

In honor of Donovan’s final USMNT appearance, FutbolMLS.com’s Diego Pinzón compiled a top-10 list of Donovan’s best assists of his international career.

With so many to choose from, deciding which assist was his best is certainly a worthy topic for debate.

Was it one of the happier moments of his time under Jurgen Klinsmann, when he played Brek Shea through for a goal against Costa Rica in the final match of Group C in the 2013 Gold Cup? Or what about the clever layoff for Eddie Johnson in a 2006 World Cup Qualifier against Guatemala?

And then there was just his second assist of his USMNT career, in his second cap, on a perfectly weighted chip pass to Brian McBride in a 2001 friendly against China. Check out all 58 in the video below, and check back on FutbolMLS.com tomorrow for the top 10 goals of his US career.

It also begs the question, will Donovan be remembered more for his assists or his goals? Make your voice heard in the poll to the right and debate away in the comments below!
