Eight Major League Soccer youngsters among those named to US U-23 camp in Brazil

Fulham youth Emerson Hyndman celebrates a goal

Head coach Tab Ramos has called in eight players from Major League Soccer and four players who recently featured for Jurgen Klinsmann's senior national team for the US Under-23 team's camp in Brazil next week.

Cody Cropper, Emerson Hyndman, Jordan Morris, and Rubio Rubin are all in the group after earning a call from Klinsmann for the United States' game against the Czech Republic last month, while Colorado Rapids standouts Dillon Serna and Marlon Hairston are among the MLS contingent. Vancouver Whitecaps rookie defneder Christian Dean, Chicago Fire midfielder Benji Joya and Seattle Sounders Homegrown forward Sean Okoli are also in the group, along with Borussia Mönchengladbach forward and former LA Galaxy academy standout Mario Rodriguez.

In preparation for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the U-23 team will train from Oct. 10-12 and then face Brazil's U-23 national team on Oct. 13, at Estádio Nacional in Brasilia.

The youngest player on the team is 16-year-old defender Cameron Carter-Vickers. The Tottenham youth player was recently called in to the US U-18 team that won the 21st International Tournament of Vaclav Jezek in the Czech Republic.

U-18 coach Javier Perez, Klinsmann scout Matthias Hamann and former Philadelphia Union assistant Rob Vartughian will also be a part of Ramos' coaching staff.
