Dom Dwyer White House Snapchat promo

On Wednesday, Sporting Kansas City made the yearly trip to the White House to meet President Barack Obama reserved specially for the defending MLS Cup champions.

All the usual outlets covered the event — The White House streamed the event live on YouTube — and provided insight and thoughts from the players and coaches in attendance — even this here very site, MLSsoccer.com.

As cool as it is to see this kind of event unfold from the outside looking in, sometimes you can't help but want to be there, to be a part of it.

Enter Sporting KC forward and social media-holic Dom Dwyer. The 24-year-old Cuckfield, England native took over the MLS Snapchat account (username: MLS) and provided his very own Dom's-eye view into a champion's White House celebration.

Below are a handful of Snaps that Dwyer posted to begin the day as Sporting took off from Kansas City for the nation's capital. To see the rest of his day — and, as is usually the case with Dwyer on social media, it's worth the time to do so — add username MLS on Snapchat.
