Castrol Index Weekly Top 20: Lee Nguyen continues impressive season with standout Week 27

In recent weeks, New England Revolution midfielder Lee Nguyen has burnished his MVP credentials, and Week 27 was no exception, at least according to the Castrol Index.

With a performance that included the game winner in the Revs' 2-1 victory over the Montreal Impact, Nguyen takes top honors in the Castrol Index Weekly Rankings.

Following New England's playmaker in the rankings for the week are San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper Jon Busch (No. 2) after his performance in a 1-1 draw in the California Clasico, fellow 'keeper Sean Johnson (No. 3), in another 1-1 draw, this time the Chicago Fire vs. Toronto FC, LA Galaxy forward Gyasi Zardes (No. 4), after scoring in a 2-2 draw against Montreal midweek, and Deshorn Brown (No. 5), who had a goal of his own in the Colorado Rapids' 2-2 draw against the Portland Timbers.
