The Montreal Impact announced on Friday that U-23 midfielder Louis Béland-Goyette signed a professional Homegrown contract with the club. As per MLS policy, details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Béland-Goyette, who turns 19 on Monday, recorded two assists in eight games in the PDL this season, totaling 556 minutes, as well as appearing in three MLS Reserve League games.
Native of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, he joined the Impact Academy in September 2011, playing with the U-18, U-21 and U-23 teams.

Béland-Goyette becomes the eighth player from the Academy to sign a professional deal with the club in MLS, following defenders Karl W. Ouimette, Maxim Tissot and Wandrille Lefèvre, goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau, midfielders Zakaria Messoudi and Jérémy Gagnon-Laparé, as well as forward Anthony Jackson-Hamel.
