New York's Roy Miller, Colorado's Gabriel Torres added to Copa Centroamericana rosters

New York Red Bulls defender Roy Miller will join Costa Rica and Colorado Rapids forward Gabriel Torres was called up to Panama for the final two rounds of the Copa Centroamericana, while Portland Timbers midfielder Rodney Wallace has been released.


Those were a few of the moves announced Tuesday by the Central American Football Union for the teams competing in the Copa Centroamericana.


With the third round of group play set for Wednesday at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, teams are allowed to make up to six roster changes for the third and final rounds.


Adding Miller and releasing Wallace were among the five roster changes made by Costa Rica. The Ticos also brought on Bryan Ruiz, Jose Sanchez, Jonathan Moya and Manfred Russell while sending home Celso Borges, Oscar Duarte, Marcos Urena and Joel Campbell.



Panama also added Francisco Narbon and released Nicolas Munoz and Alfredo Stephens.


Honduras brought in Rony Martinez and Wilmer Fuentes and sent hom Mario Martinez and Romell Quioto.


Following Wednesday’s matches, the championship, third- and fifth-place games will be played Saturday at Los Angeles Coliseum.
