AT&T MLS Goal of the Week update: Dillon Serna's thunderbolt surges ahead of Week 23 pack

2014 AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 23

Dillon Serna's long-distance volley has surged ahead in the race for the latest AT&T MLS Goal of the Week award, earning more than 47 percent of ballots cast as of Thursday morning.

The Colorado Rapids youngster holds a significant lead over Week 23's other challengers, with Justin Meram's curler for the Columbus Crew running in second place with 22 percent and Toronto FC striker Gilberto's backheel sitting in third with more than 12 percent.

FC Dallas' 5-0 win at San Jose was sparked by Fabian Castillo, but the Colombian firecracker looks out of the GOTW running this time, as his solo effort holds only 11.72 percent of the vote, followed by LA Galaxy starlet Gyasi Zardes at 6.42 percent.

But there's still time to rock the vote. Make your pick by casting a ballot for your favorite goal before voting ends! The winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and will be announced on Friday.

Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week — including an archive of all of this season's nominees and winners — click here.
