The San Jose Earthquakes will face a real test when they put their home undefeated streak on the line as they take on FC Dallas on Saturday evening at Avaya Stadium. The Quakes return home after a 1-1 draw at the LA Galaxy last weekend, still looking for their first win away from San Jose. FC Dallas remain on the road after extending their current winning run to three matches, following their 4-2 victory at the New England Revolution last Saturday. The teams are meeting for the second time this season, having reached a 2-2 draw at FC Dallas in April.

  • Fatai Alashe netted a late equalizer, but the Quakes werenā€™t able to come away with a first road win of the season, playing to a 1-1 draw with the LA Galaxy on Sunday evening at StubHub Center. The Quakes return to Avaya Stadium holding a 5-0-1 record in home games this year.
  • Tesho Akindele scored a pair of goals ā€“ his first multiple-goal game since hitting for a hat trick in his rookie season ā€“ and FC Dallas ended a three-game losing streak on the road with a 4-2 victory against the New England Revolution on Saturday evening at Gillette Stadium.
  • The teams are meeting for the second time this season. They played to a 2-2 draw April 9 at Toyota Stadium.
  • FC Dallas is undefeated in the last five matchups between the clubs. FCD is undefeated in their last three home games in the series, winning both meetings at Toyota Stadium a season ago.
