In our minds, that's how the above transaction — in which Seattle Sounders forward Clint Dempsey trades a young fan his jersey for a handful of popcorn — came to pass.
Whether or not that is actually the case, it's still a great moment for that little boy.
And look how happy it makes all of the ladies sitting nearby. They must be thinking about how sweet Dempsey is for giving his shirt away.
As happy as the boy looks, there must be 18 players from the Houston Dynamo that felt equally sad once they realized that Dempsey's jersey wouldn't be their consolation prize after a 2-0 loss at CenturyLink Field on Sunday.
