Either FC Dallas or the Philadelphia Union will host the 2014 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup final, per the results of a coin flip conducted by US Soccer President Sunil Gulati in Portland.
The draw was made during a live edition of the Men in Blazers podcast during MLS All-Star week festivities, and means that Dallas could get a chance to win the trophy named after their legendary founder in their home stadium.
The final will be played on either Sept. 16-17 or Oct. 1.
On the other side of the draw, two of the most storied teams in US Open Cup history await. Four-time winners Chicago Fire will travel to face three-time winners Seattle Sounders on August 13 in a semifinal matchup. The Dallas-Philadelphia semifinal will take place a day earlier, with FCD playing host.
