Zlatan Ibrahimovic settles jersey dispute between Terrence Boyd, Red Bull Leipzig teammate | SIDELINE

Tempers and emotions often times get the best of players on the soccer field.

But it's typically not teammates that you see caught up in confrontation, especially once the final whistle has blown.

However, that was the case a couple weeks ago when US national team and new Red Bull Leipzig forward Terrence Boyd was caught up in a dispute with club captain Daniel Frahn that basically amounted to the following:

"No, I call dibs on it first."
"No, you didn't, I did."
"I'm telling mom!"

In this instance, "mom" was Paris Saint-Germain superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Left to settle the spat between teammates — which was, of course, over who was to receive his jersey following a preseason friendly between the two clubs — Zlatan made sure all his children went to bed happy that night.

He gave Boyd the jersey he wore during the game — as he said to Frahn, “Sorry, but I have promised it to this young man,” — and used a spare jersey from the locker room to smooth things over between Boyd and the jealous captain after the game.

"I had a second, dry jersey with me. The captain can have this one."
