AMSTERDAM – A pair of Americans suited up for Europa League third qualifying round openers on Thursday, with Mikkel Diskerud and Rosenborg BK holding Turkish hosts Karabükspor to a 0-0 stalemate.
The US midfielder, whose lone shot attempt was a long-range effort off the mark just past the hour mark, departed the proceedings with six minutes remaining.
Meanwhile, Ethan Horvath served as backup netminder for Molde FK's 1-1 away-leg draw with Ukrainian side FC Zorya Luhansk. Like Rosenborg, the Norwegian league leaders will return home for the deciding leg next Thursday, Aug. 7.
