Four World Cup veterans named to Manchester City traveling roster for US tour, but will not face SKC

Manchester City's Samir Nasri, Eden Dzeko and Yaya Toure celebrate

Manchester City on Monday announced their 28-man traveling roster for their US preseason tour, which kicks off with a stop in Kansas City on Wednesday. They will bring with them four 2014 World Cup veterans of their own: Ivory Coast's Yaya Touré, Spain's David Silva, Bosnia-Herzegovina's Edin Dzeko and England's Joe Hart.

However, those four players will not join the team until July 24, the day after their friendly with Sporting Kansas (9 pm ET, ESPN, buy tickets here). Furthermore, striker Alvaro Negredo has been ruled out for the tour after suffering a metatarsal injury on Friday.

Manchester City will then participate in the Guinness International Cup, which includes matches against AC Milan in Pittsburgh (July 27), Liverpool at Yankee Stadium (July 30) and Olympiacos in Minneapolis (Aug. 2).

If the Citizens advance to the final of the eight-team exhibition tournament, they will conclude their US tour in Miami on Aug. 4. Manchester City are coming off their second EPL title in three seasons.
