Colorado Rapids' Deshorn Brown snares AT&T Goal of the Week nod for clutch late equalizer in Philly

This week's AT&T MLS Goal of the Week voting came own to the final hours, but just as he did in his team's thrilling 3-3 draw in Philadelphia, Deshorn Brown came through in the end.

The Colorado Rapids hitman's late, left-footed equalizer against the Union has won this week's GOTW award, narrowly edging Toronto FC's Jermain Defoe

Brown came away with 33.4 percent of votes cast, outpacing Defoe's 27.89 percent -- and New York star Thierry Henry was not far behind in third place with 21.69 percent. Finishing a bit further back were Gyasi Zardes of the LA Galaxy and MLS Golden Boot frontrunner Bradley Wright-Phillips

It's the Jamaican's first GOTW triumph of the 2014 campaign, and the first of his MLS career as well.

Final Votes (Week 17):

  1. Deshorn Brown (COL): 33.4%
  2. Jermain Defoe (TOR): 27.89%
  3. Thierry Henry (NY): 21.69%
  4. Gyasi Zardes (LA): 11.19%
  5. Bradley Wright-Phillips (NY): 5.82%
