It turns out it was possible to enjoy the world's biggest sporting event with fellow fans from all walks of life without traveling to Brazil.

Instead, all you needed to do was get all your best buds together, hop a flight to pretty much any major European soccer nation and go from there.

That's the lesson we learn today from a group of guys from Oakland, Calif., who chose to spend the first two weeks of the 2014 World Cup trekking across four European countries, in order to watch six World Cup matches at some of the biggest public watch parties in the world, alongside some of the world's most passionate soccer fans.

These four guys are part of a lifestyle brand called Mixologi. Mixologi is a lifestyle brand, incorporating “The Art of Diversity” within their content and events. Mixologi strives to achieve dreams, and support others who follow their own path of devout self-expression, however diverse or bohemian.

From the Mixologi Facebook page:

"We blazed across Europe by plane, ferry, and train, to experience the world’s most important sporting event in the most unimaginable way possible. This video shares a glimpse of our adventure and a taste of the incomparable excitement of the FIFA World Cup."

Accompanying the fantastic video is a pair of in-depth stories about their time spent in Germany and Croatia that go far deeper than the players, the goalscorers, the game itself.

Pardon me while I step away now to book my flight, Eurail train tickets and hostel stays in every qualifying European country for 2018.
