New York's Armando contests a header with Colorado's Deshorn Brown

After earning yellow cards in each of his first three MLS games and a one-game suspension for serious foul play, rugged New York Red Bulls defender Armando had been adjusting his game, picking up just one yellow card in his next 11 appearances.

No foul was called on the play. Through the MLS Players Union, Armando submitted an appeal, but the suspension was upeheld by an independent review panel.
