New York City FC supporters can sleep well at night: Even with all of his career accolades, recently signed Designated Player David Villa understands there's going to be a learning curve in MLS.
Villa, the first signing in NYCFC club history on June 2, may have won a World Cup and a UEFA Champions League with Barcelona, but in a Twitter Q&A on Wednesday he admitted he will need time to "understand" the league.
But Villa's also here for the right reasons, and they have names: Claudio Reyna and Jason Kreis. He claimed that "One of the main reasons I came here is because of them."
Here's the entire recap of Villa's Q&A on Wednesday via the NYCFC Twitter handle:
.@PjanicButton: 1 of the main reasons I came here is because of them. I'm very happy to help the club grow and fight for titles.— New York City FC (@NYCFC) July 9, 2014
