World Cup: German astronaut shaves heads of American co-workers after winning wager

FIFA president Sepp Blatter may earn plenty of laughs for his suggestions about inter-planetary soccer competition, but the World Cup has had extra-planetary ramifications this year.


Aboard the International Space Station, German astronaut Alexander Gerst and Americans Reid Wiseman and Steve Swanson decided to place a friendly wager on the game. If the US won, Wiseman and Swanson would get to decorate Gerst's already bald head with an American flag.


The German victory, however, brought a quite different response, as you can see in the video above or by clicking here.

No word yet on the reaction of the three Russian cosmonauts to their country failing to advance to the Round of 16.
