He didn't bring his green hat to Brazil, but Will Ferrell will be used as the USMNT's "secret weapon" against Germany.
Sunil Gulati introduced Ferrell as Jozy Altidore's injury replacement going into the game on Thursday. Appearing alongside Teddy Goalsevelt at US Soccer's FanHQ, Ferrell stated, "If the game gets close, I will bite. I will bite the opponent. I will bite every German player if I have to."
With Ferrell in the lineup, the US will get a proper replacement for Altidore: a player big enough to hold up the ball against Germany's physical backline.
