Two of Ghana's biggest stars were suspended indefinitely by the Ghana Football Federation (GFA) on Wednesday ahead of the Black Stars' huge crunch clash with Portugal.
Star midfiedlers Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng were kicked off the team with immediate effect, according to statements released by the GFA.
This comes just hours before Ghana are to face Portugal in their final Group G match (noon ET, ESPN2). The Black Stars have a chance to advance, if they beat Portugal, the US national team loses to Germany, and Ghana overcome the goal differential.

Muntari was expelled after a physical altercation with a federation executive, according to a GFA statement.
"The decision was taken in the wake of his unprovoked physical attack on an Executive Committee member of the GFA and a management member of the Black Stars, Mr. Moses Armah on Tuesday 24th June, 2014 during a meeting," the statement says.
Boateng was sent home by Ghana's coach, Kwesi Appiah, for insulting the technical staff, according to a GFA statement.
"The decision was taken following Boateng’s vulgar verbal insults targeted at coach Kwesi Appiah during the team’s training session in Maceio this week," the statement reads. "Boateng has since showed no remorse for his actions which has resulted in the decision."
Both players' World Cup accreditations were withdrawn immediately.
