GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Herculez Gomez’s loan move to Tigres UANL from Club Tijuana was made official on Wednesday, with right back Israel Jiménez going in the opposite direction.

Tigres announced the deal on Wednesday on their official Twitter account, with MLSsoccer.com first breaking news of the deal on Saturday.

The club also posted a photo of 32-year-old Gomez arriving on Wednesday in Cancún, where the team is going through preseason training ahead of the Apertura 2014.

Tigres are Gomez’s sixth club in Mexico, but the striker only played 21 games for Tijuana in the Liga MX after moving last summer from Santos Laguna.

The move sees Gomez link up once again with Americans Jose Torres and Jonathan Bornstein, who are also at the Monterrey-based club coached by Ricardo Ferretti.
