The MLS Disciplinary Committee announced warnings for both the Vancouver Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders on Thursday after the teams violated the league’s mass confrontation policy in the 51st minute of their 2-2 draw on Saturday. (See video above.)
Both teams received an official warning for their first violations of the season.
Additionally, the committee fined Vancouver midfielder Pedro Morales and Seattle forward Chad Barrett an undisclosed amount for contact to the head of an opponent and escalating an incident, respectively.
MLS Commissioner Don Garber fined Toronto FC head coach Ryan Nelsen an undisclosed amount for public criticism after his team's 2-2 draw with Sporting Kansas City on May 23.
