Ben Olsen celebrates D.C. United 2013 US Open Cup triumph

US Soccer released the dates and times for the potential fourth-round matchups of the 2014 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup on Tuesday, providing MLS clubs with an early glimpse of their path through the nation's oldest tournament.

The 16 MLS participants will enter the tourney next month, and will meet the winners of the third-round matches being contested between a range of amateur and lower-division clubs on May 27-28.

The Philadelphia Union, Columbus Crew, Chicago Fire, Sporting Kansas City, FC Dallas, San Jose Earthquakes, Colorado Rapids and the Houston Dynamo are all guaranteed to host their opening matches, while Chivas USA and Real Salt Lake already know they'll hit the road for their first Open Cup contests.

Elsewhere, Portland, LA, Seattle, New England, New York and defending champions D.C. United will have to wait on third-round results to learn the locations of their games.

The earliest possible date for Open Cup third-round action is June 10, while the round will conclude on June 18.

Once third-round results are in, US Soccer will announce its “Game of the Round,” which will be streamed live on the federation's website.
