AMSTERDAM – Michael Stephens notched a sharp assist on the opener as Bob Bradley's Stabæk scored a 3-1 Tippeligaen victory away to wasteful Rosenborg on Friday night.
With US national team camper Mikkel Diskerud out of uniform for the Troll Kids, the former LA Galaxy midfielder helped put the visitors ahead on 27 minutes. Stephens capped a lightning Stabæk counter attack by artfully teeing up Fredrik Brustad for the icebreaker.
Rosenborg leveled shortly after the break, but the Blue Ones would eventually hit twice inside seven minutes to smash 'n' grab their way up to sixth place. Now one point behind RBK, Stabæk have won consecutive games for the first time since round two.
