MLS Disciplinary Committee suspends San Jose Earthquakes defender Victor Bernardez

The MLS Disciplinary Committee announced Thursday that it has suspended San Jose Earthquakes defender Víctor Bernárdez for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for "misconduct toward FC Dallas forward David Texeira" in the 62nd minute of the teams' May 10 match (video above).


Bernárdez, called into the Honduras pre-World Cup training camp in Florida, remains scheduled to leave the Earthquakes following this weekend's game against the Seattle Sounders because he may not serve the suspension while on international duty.
