That's the Portugal World Cup preliminary squad announced by manager Paulo Bento on Tuesday -- the FIFA deadline for submitting 30 names that will need to be cut to 23 by June 2.
But Bento will not be waiting until June 2 to do it. According to the Portuguese federation web site, he'll name his 23 in less than a week, on May 19.
Portugal is one of three Group G opponents that the US national team will face in Brazil. After opening against Germany on June 16 in Salvador, Cristiano & Co. take on the USA in Manaus on June 22 before closing out against Ghana on June 26.
In addition to Ronaldo, some of the other big names include Real Madrid's notorious center back Pepe, Lazio's Hélder Postiga and tricky Manchester United winger Nani.
