"Come on, man, that's soft. Clint, yo, come on."

Philadelphia Union midfielder Maurice Edu wasn't shy to call out Seattle Sounders forward and longtime US national team teammate Clint Dempsey for what Edu saw as an errant elbow on a play where he also thought Dempsey went down too easily, earning Edu a yellow card.

Slap a microphone on a professional athlete of any sport — especially soccer, where players from national teams and club teams are so closely intertwined — and the on-field conversation between colleagues can sometimes turn out to be fascinating.

That's exactly what the Union did with Edu last weekend during the club's trip to face the Sounders in the Emerald City, the fourth video in the club's "Mic'd Up" series, and Edu's personality and leadership on the field shone through the dreary, rainy Seattle weather on the day.

Also of note: Maurice loves him some pregame smelling salts. "Wooooo," he said.
