Castrol Index Weekly Top 20: Once again, Clint Dempsey leads the pack in Week 8

Clint Dempsey is at it again.

The Seattle Sounders star leads the Castrol Index Weekly Top 20 for the second time this season, after a two-goal performance in Seattle Sounders' 4-1 romp over the Colorado Rapids in Week 8.

Perhaps the only other player to compete for the spotlight was New York Red Bulls forward Bradley Wright-Phillips, who scored four goals in two games, including a hat trick midweek against the Houston Dynamo. Wright-Phillips has the distinction of making the Week 8 Top 20 twice, as his performance against the Columbus Crew ranks him No. 18 to go with his No. 2 ranking for the Houston match.

Rounding out the Top 5 for the week are Dempsey's teammate Obafemi Martins (No. 3), Wright-Phillips' teammate Luis Robles (No. 4), who remains in the Top 5 for the second week running, and Dynamo forward Will Bruin (No. 5).
