AT&T MLS Goal of the Week update: Colorado Rapids' Jose Mari running away from the rest

2014 AT&T Goal of the Week (Week 5)

As the race enters its final day, voters are leaving little doubt about their favorite nominee in this week's AT&T MLS Goal of the Week contest.

Colorado Rapids midfielder José Mari's curling finish has sprinted away from the rest, earning more than 53 percent of the votes cast thus far, well ahead of the Portland Timbers' Diego Chara, whose missile sits in second place with 13.27 percent.

Chara's teammate Diego Valeri sits a bit further back with 12.1 percent, followed by yet another Timbers goal, this one from striker Maximiliano Urruti, with 10.61 percent. Bringing up the rear is LA Galaxy man Baggio Husidic's fine effort, currently at 10.48 percent.

This race is not over quite yet, however. Have your say on this week's Goal of the Week prize by casting your ballot before voting ends late Thursday night! The winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and will be announced on Friday.

Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week — including an archive of all of this season's nominees and winners — click here.
