San Jose Earthquakes and Honduras defender Victor Bernardez is all set to retire from international soccer following the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
On Wednesday night, he played in what was very likely the final home game of his international career, a 2-1 friendly victory over Venezuela.

Considering the fact he's only going to fall a few appearances short of 100 by the time his Honduras days are over, the 31-year-old defender is a hugely popular player in his homeland.
So is it really surprising when the above fan, caught on film by Honduran newspaper Diez, tries to give Bernardez an adoring kiss on the cheek following the game on Wednesday? Perhaps not, but what is more surprising — and terrifying, if you're the attempted kisser — is Bernardez's reaction.
