Soccer superstar Alex Morgan will grace the pages of Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue this year ... again.
The 24-year-old US women's national team and Portland Thorns forward shared the news via her official Twitter and Facebook accounts on Tuesday. This year's issue, which hit newsstands on the same day, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the swimsuit issue.
Morgan last appeared in the 2012 swimsuit issue when she garnered attention from around the world for donning a body paint outfit.
Already the most famous women's soccer player in the world — arguably, at least — repeatedly appearing on SI's swimsuit issue will only further her profile as one of the most recognizable female athletes ever.
