AMSTERDAM – Three Americans suited up for English action on Tuesday, with Brad Guzan notching his seventh Premier League shutout of the season in a 0-0 draw at Cardiff City.

The US international registered three saves, the best coming when he forced Frazier Campbell's early drive onto the post. The point gained bumped Villa up two spots to 11th place.

One flight down in the Championship, Tim Ream went the distance as Bolton fell 1-0 to visiting Burnley.

In addition to serving some dangerous corner kicks, the Wanderers left back contributed a big shot block and a team-best seven clearances in the loss. Now winless in eight league games, Bolton remained in 19th place.

Will Packwood and Birmingham City also ended up on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision at Watford.

The young center back, who led all Brums with a dozen clearances, went agonizingly close to tying the match deep in stoppage time with a restart header just wide of the post. Despite losing for the fourth time in six games, Birmingham held firm in 18th place.
