GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Club Tijuana open Round 6 of matches in the Liga MX’s Clausura 2014 on Friday night against Monterrey (Azteca America, 10 pm ET).

Herculez Gomez, Joe Corona and Edgar Castillo are the likely American starters, with Paul Arriola and Greg Garza also gunning for minutes at Estadio Caliente, where Xolos haven’t lost in the Liga MX since last April.

Tigres UANL’s Jose Torres will be hoping to transfer Copa MX starts for a Liga MX start against Santos Laguna on Saturday, with the club rock-bottom of the league and pressure increasing on coach Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti (UniMas, Univision Deportes, 8 pm ET).


On Sunday, new Chiapas signing Gabriel Farfan has been in training and could debut in the team's game against high-flying Toluca (Univision, Univision Deportes, 1 pm ET).



Playing at the same time is DaMarcus Beasley's Michael Orozco's Puebla, who host Chivas with both teams just outside the playoff spots (Azteca America, ESPN Deportes, 1 pm ET).

Wrapping up Liga MX action are Jonathan Bornstein’s Atlante, who host a Cruz Azul side for whom Jose Villarreal and Michael Farfan are waiting to debut (Univision Deportes, 6 pm ET).

In the second division, Marco Vidal, Daniel Cuevas and Lobos BUAP play at home to Celaya (6 pm ET) on Friday. Necaxa duo Sonny Guadarrama and Ventura Alvarado host Celaya (9 pm ET) that same day.

Former Chivas USA striker Jesus Padilla and his Ballenas Galeana side are in Guadalajara to play Leones Negros on Saturday (9:30 pm ET).
