AMSTERDAM – In-form AZ Alkmaar forward Aron Jóhannsson is being listed as doubtful for Saturday's Eredivisie trip to Go Ahead Eagles with a groin injury.

The 23-year-old, who has six goals in his last seven games across all competitions, picked up the problem midway through the first half of Tuesday night's victory at Vitesse. Jóhannsson was removed at halftime of that match and only played a minor part in AZ's practice session on Thursday.

"He trained a little, but he will remain dubious for Saturday's match with a right upper leg injury," Kaasboeren press officer Daan Schippers told MLSsoccer.com.

Jóhannsson has yet to miss an AZ contest on the campaign, bagging 21 goals in 34 overall games. The US international has 13 in league play, good for third in the scoring race, and leads the KNVB Cup goal chart with six.
