Could Tomas Rosicky be the latest European flirting with a move to MLS?
It seems if he’s not able to end his career with Arsenal, where he has played a big role since 2006 but is currently in search of a new deal, the Czech international told isport.blesk.cz that a trip stateside is his Plan B.
“If it was possible, I would love to end my career at Arsenal, which is something I have said many times before,” he said. “If I should leave, however, then I would be tempted to play in the USA. Football has been on the rise there and I'm interested in trying a different style of life.”
Injuries cut short his 2012-13 campaign at the Emirates, but the 33-year-old playmaker has made 15 appearances across all competitions this season.
“Naturally, I would love to continue,” Rosicky said. “It's hard to leave a top club like Arsenal. It's a club where I have had everything I have ever been searching for in the football side of things.”
He also said he would consider a return to Sparta Prague, where he started his professional career, and that he still very much plans to stay in the mix with the Czech national team.
"I have always liked to play for my country and if you have something to offer, it's not easy to give it up,” he said.
