The first legs of MLS Cup Playoffs Conference Semifinals weren't pretty by any means in MLS Fantasy terms. Only one of the eight teams escaped with a clean sheet and just two strikers scored -- one of whom is owned by less than 0.5 percent of managers.

Six teams were represented on this week’s Dream Team and the LA Galaxy led the way with four selections.

Conference Semifinals Statistics

  • Top Fantasy Score: 75 points
  • Average Fantasy Score: 30 points

Dream Team formation: (4-5-1)

Top Player: Sean Franklin – 13 points

Defenders (4)

Sean Franklin was the only player in double digits this week, finishing the round with 13 total points -- four points more than the next-closest player.

Out of the five defenders who tallied more than four points, four were on LA. This was the lowest scoring week for defenders in any round this season.

Midfielders (5)

The midfielders weren't much better than the defenders, but they were a bit more consistent. Of the 11 midfielders who logged at least five points, four were owned by more than 10 percent of owners.

Tim Cahill and Osvaldo Alonso led all midfielders with nine points each.

Forwards (1)

Robbie Keane was the most-captained player this round, but failed to capitalize on his opportunities. The Irish striker was charged with two BCFs (big chances fluffed), finishing the game with a mere three points as a result.

Only four forwards managed more than four points, and Portland's Ryan Johnson claimed the top spot with seven.

Jaime Penedo (7 points)

With just one team earning a clean sheet this round, it was bang or bust at the goalkeeper position. The next closest GK had four points.
