Camilo and his Vancouver Whitecaps teammates have packed their bags for the winter after failing to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs. But on their way to the gold course, the 'Caps handed playoff-bound Colorado a true beating, to the tune of 3-0. In the rout, the Brazilian striker tallied a hat trick, leapfrogging Chicago Fire's Mike Magee and Montreal Impact's Marco Di Vaio to claim the 2013 Golden Boot.
The trio of goals upped his total to 22 for the season, one ahead of Magee. His performance earned him the top spot in this week's Castrol Index Weekly Top 20, with 1,945 points. Portland Timbers goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts finished No. 2 in this week's list for his efforts in the Timbers' 5-0 triumph over Chivas USA. Ricketts earned 1,709 points, more than 200 off the pace.
Supporters' Shield winners New York Red Bulls had the most representation -- four players -- in the Index for the final week of the season. New York stormed past Chicago 5-2 over the weekend, clinching the league's regular-season crown.
Jonny Steele was the top point getter for the Red Bulls, finishing No. 10 on the list with 1,113 points. Just behind him at No. 12 was Ibrahim Sekagya with 1,095 points. At No. 15 was Thierry Henry who earned 967 points for his goal and assist performance. Jámison Olave rounded out the Red Bulls' players on the list, coming in at No. 18 with 921 points.
