Saer Sene, New England Revolution

The New England Revolution on Saturday night disclosed specifics of the leg injury which forced Revs winger Saer Sene out of the match against the Montreal Impact at Stade Saputo earlier the same day.

The incident occurred in the 18th minute when Sene and Montreal right back Davy Arnaud chased a ball into the penalty area.

It's the second major injury suffered by Sene in consecutive seasons. The Frenchman also tore an ACL in his right knee back on Aug. 29, 2012, which ended his debut campaign in MLS.

The former Bayern Munich reserve player had registered five goals and five assists in 24 matches played in 2013. He was in the starting lineup for the Revs' last five league matches.
