The Chicago Fire may have had a disappointing result against the Montreal Impact over the weekend, losing out on a chance at three points when they let in a late goal in a 2-2 draw at Toyota Park, but Mike Magee's two-goal performance was good enough to top the Castrol Index Week 31 Top 20 Performers list.
Magee checked in with 2,003 points for his outing, more than 500 points clear of second-place Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Zac MacMath, who notched 1,466 points in his shutout against Sporting Kansas City. In Sporting's 1-0 loss vs. the Union, goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen (1,172 points) and midfielder Graham Zusi (1,087 points) had solid outings and finished in the top 10, at No. 7 and No. 8 respectively.
Chris Wondolowski came in at No. 6 in this week's index with 1,212 points after helping his San Jose Earthquakes inch closer to a playoff spot with a late winner against Chivas USA.
Toronto FC showed up the most on this week's Top 20, with three players performing well in their 4-1 win over D.C. United. Forward Bright Dike (1,053), midfielder Álvaro Rey (920) and defender Mark Bloom (868) came in at No. 11, No. 18 and No. 20, respectively.
