Save of the Week: Raul Fernandez edges Nick Rimando to win Week 29 award

FC Dallas goalkeeper Raul Fernandez has picked up his third Save of the Week award of the season, narrowly topping his Real Salt Lake counterpart Nick Rimando in Week 29.

Fernandez earned 38.38 percent of the vote for tipping a shot from Colorado Rapids forward Edson Buddle just wide of the post last Saturday, while Rimando – who stoned a header from the Seattle Sounders’ Zach Scott from point blank range  - picked up 36.34 percent.

Fernandez also won the award in Weeks 13 and 19.

2. Nick Rimando (RSL): 36.34%
3. Troy Perkins (MTL): 12.35%
4. Clint Irwin (COL): 6.92%
