Columbus Crew goalkeeper, Matt Lampson knows a few things about facing opponents head on. Lampson battled Stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma six years ago but through chemotherapy and perseverance, he beat the disease and made his 2013 MLS debut with the Crew. The Columbus native is bringing awareness for Lymphoma, not only on the field by sporting bright green goalkeeper gloves and green ribbons but also off the field. Lampson is a Spokesperson for the Central Ohio Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and speaks at various events to Lymphoma survivors and their families. For his continuous work to raise awareness for children and the LLS, Matt Lampson was named the MLS WORKS September Humanitarian of the Month.
